The chemical properties of niobium tubes are very stable!


The niobium tube has excellent quality and can quickly produce a surface oxide film in almost any environment, which is carefully coated on its metal substrate. The oxide film is thin and dense, and has impermeability to almost all media. If damage appears, it can immediately recover.


Due to an excellent protective film like this, tantalum has superior corrosion resistance.


Except for fluoride, hydrofluoric acid, acidic sols containing fluoride ions, fuming nitric acid, and strong alkalis, tantalum will not decompose in most media. The following table compares the corrosion resistance of tantalum with titanium and zirconium.


Niobium is a gray white metal with a density of 8.57, a melting point of 2468 ℃, and a boiling point of 4742 ℃. It has excellent characteristics such as severe corrosion, high melting point, high boiling point, high strength, fatigue resistance, deformation resistance, corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity, superconductivity, unipolar conductivity, and gas absorption. The chemical properties of niobium are very stable. At room temperature, the surface forms a fine and dense oxide film, which hinders further oxidation. At high temperatures, it directly combines with sulfur, nitrogen, and carbon, and can form alloys with titanium, zirconium, hafnium, and tungsten.
