Tantalum
Tantalum can be used to manufacture welded and seamless pipes, and has a wide range of applications. Manufacturing seamless pipes involves using extrusion, pipe reduction, or deep drawing with sheet metal. The manufacturing method of welding is to first form a strip, then make a tube shape, and then weld the seam with gas tungsten arc (GTAW).
Tantalum cannot be processed using ordinary methods of processing general metals. The general starting process is forging and heat treatment, using two methods of hammering and stamping to produce flat billets or circular small and medium-sized billets.
